Privacy information

Last updated November 8, 2026. DemoMonkey is operated by LightHeart Ventures LLC. Questions and privacy requests: gregory@lightheartventures.com.

What the extension and service process

DemoMonkey helps operators create and present interactive demos. Account sign-in uses Google and Amazon Cognito. The extension stores backend settings, local demos and working state in Chrome storage, and uses session storage for sign-in tokens.

When you choose Discover or plan a walkthrough, DemoMonkey processes visible text, URLs and element descriptions from the page you select, together with any topic you enter. It uses this information to propose demo outlines and browser actions. Review the selected page and generated content before using the feature with confidential information.

Saved demos, documentation excerpts, narration, typed questions, answers and owner review items can be stored in the account's backend library. Some may contain information you supply about your product or customers. Published releases retain snapshots of approved content; deleting a draft does not delete its already published releases.

Audio and personal voices

Microphone input is optional and requires permission. Enabled input is sent for speech transcription. Explicitly selected meeting-tab audio can also be processed; DemoMonkey does not read or send video frames for that audio-input feature. Generated narration is produced using ElevenLabs.

Personal voice training remains in its browser tab until you choose to create a voice and consent to transmission to ElevenLabs. ElevenLabs retains samples with the created voice. Removing the voice requests deletion there. DemoMonkey stores voice settings and consent metadata rather than a copy of the training recording.

Service providers and diagnostics

DemoMonkey uses AWS for hosting, authentication and storage; OpenRouter and the selected model provider for AI requests; ElevenLabs for speech; and SigNoz for operational diagnostics. Submitted page content, product instructions and questions may be processed by the AI providers needed to deliver the requested feature. Their processing and retention depend on the provider and configuration.

DemoMonkey records usage and operational diagnostics such as playback events, provider cost estimates, errors, traces and non-secret session identifiers. These help operate the service, meter usage and investigate failures. Payment and subscription management use Stripe through the website; the extension does not collect payment card details.

Your controls

Use Chrome's extension settings to manage or revoke website access, turn off audio input when finished, and close the demo to stop its microphone listener. You can delete local extension data through Chrome. Manage saved demos and approved content in your account, and review which content is published in an embed. Contact us for account-data access, retention or deletion requests, including published snapshots.

Only publish content you intend visitors to see. Website embeds use reviewed releases and allowlisted website origins. AI responses can be inaccurate; operators should review sources, answers and planned actions.
